Mission Life has been Launched as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

MissionLiFE has been launched as part of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" to sensitize, educate and promote eco-friendly lifestyle for creating ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3). As part of initiative under Mission LiFE, an awareness workshop was held In Forest Survey of India, Dehradun on 14th February 2023. Employees of the organization including senior officers participated in the programme. During the workshop, Shri Arvind Mundhe, IFS, Deputy Director, P&A, conducted an interactive session on 75 individual LiFE actions suggested by NITI Ayog, GoI, across 7 major categories i.e. Energy Saved, Water Saved, Single Use Plastic Reduced, Sustainable Food Systems Adopted, Waste Reduced (Swachhta Actions), Healthy Lifestyles Adopted and E-Waste reduced. Everyone was encouraged to adopt these lifestyle changes not only at home but also inside the workplace. Smt Meera Iyer, IFS, Joint Director (FGD) in her inspirational address encouraged them to learn from our parents and grandparents by adopting their simple and sustainable way of life.

As an outcome of the workshop, the participants will fill a questionnaire for generating their baseline scores of listed 75 life actions. The questionnaire is to be reevaluated after every three months to self-monitor improvement in lifestyle changes that the participants have adopted
