On 27th January 2025 Dr. Puneet Chaturvedi Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Ayurveda Jaipur presented a lecture on the topic Healing through Breathing at the Forest Survey of India. The lecture enriched the knowledge of all the members of the institution.
The 76th Republic Day was celebrated in the Forest Survey of India with a spirit of patriotism. The flag hoisting by Director General Shri Anoop Singh IFS was followed by the national anthem.
2024-26 Batch total 114 IFS probationers visited Forest Survey of India on January 22 2025 accompanied by Shri Rajkumar Bajpai Additional Director of IGNFA and Shri Kunal Angrish Associate Professor and Course Director. Shri Anoop Singh Director General of FSI delivered a presentation on the activities of FSI. Shri Prakash Lakhchura Deputy Director General briefed the probationers on the National Forest Inventory Carbon assessment and international reporting. Additionally Dr. Sunil Chandra provided insights about the Forest Fire Monitoring System.
Secretary Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change Shri Tanmay Kumar along with ADGF Shri Sushil Kumar Awasthi ASFA Shri Praveer Pandey and DIGF Ms. Surabhi Rai visited Forest Survey of India today on 9 January 2025. During this program they were informed about various activities of the office as well as given a tour of the FGD lab. At the end of the program secretary MoEFCC ADGF and DIGF planted a commemorative tree under the program Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.
The release of India State of Forest Report 2023 was done by the Honorable Minister of Environment Forest and Climate Change Shri Bhupendra Yadav ji on 21.12.2024 in the auditorium of FRI.
B.Sc Forestry students of 7th semester from college of forestry SHUATS Prayagraj visited FSI with faculty members on 14.11.2024 and learnt about the Activities of Forest Survey of India.

As part of the Vigilance Awareness Week- 2024 being celebrated by the Forest Survey of India today on 28.10.2024 at 11.00 am the Deputy Director P and A administered the pledge of Vigilance Awareness to all the officers and employees of the institute in the conference hall.
Vigilance Awareness Week is being celebrated in Forest Survey of India. A lecture on Conduct Rules and Disciplinary matters was delivered by Deputy Director P and A today 23 October 2024 in the committee hall which enhanced the knowledge of all the employees.
A team of 23 participants from Forest Survey of India participated in 27th All India Forest Sports Meet held Raipur from 16-20 October 2024 and two silver medals won by Smt Savita Semwal in 21 KM Marathon and long jump in Sr veteran women category.
Students of B. Sc. Forestry 7th Semester from pt. Deendayal Upadhaya College of Horticulture and Forestry Piprakothi East Champaran visited FSI on 16.10.2024 with their faculty members. Description of activities of FSI was given them.
SFS trainees from CASFOS Coimbatore visited FSI on 14th October 2024 with their faculty members. The class was given the brief of the organizations activities.

The Rajbhasha Fortnight at Forest Survey of India ended on 27-09-2024 with awards from Director General Shri Anoop Singh IFS. Swachhata Pakhwada was also celebrated honoring Swachhata Mitra. The event concluded with remarks from Director General and the Deputy Director General Shri Prakash Lakhchaura.
